How to use Compress PDF
Create an image-based PDF at a selected quality level to reduce the size of suitable documents locally.
- Choose one PDF up to 25 MB and 100 pages.
- Select Smaller file, Balanced, or Clearer depending on readability needs.
- Compress, compare original and result sizes, then download and inspect the pages.
Worked example
A scanned report can be tested with Balanced first. If fine print becomes difficult to read, retry with Clearer rather than accepting the smallest file.
Limits and things to check
Pages are rasterized into JPEG images. Selectable text, links, forms, vector detail, and accessibility structure are not preserved. Already optimized PDFs can become larger. Keep your original document.
Will text still be searchable after compression?
Not through the original text layer: this compressor produces page images and does not add OCR. Avoid it when searchable text or document accessibility must be retained.
Processing and privacy
Your browser performs the operation locally. Inputs and results are not sent to OneClickWorks.
Common questions
Does this tool upload my input?
No. Processing happens in this browser tab and your input is not sent to OneClickWorks.
What happens when I leave the page?
In-memory input and generated download links are released when the page is reset, replaced, or closed. OneClickWorks does not persist tool content.
