32 Fahrenheit (°F)

How to use Temperature Converter

Convert an absolute temperature between Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin with validation against absolute zero.

  1. Enter the temperature and select its source scale.
  2. Choose the destination scale.
  3. Convert; if rejected, check the source unit and whether the value is physically below absolute zero.

Worked example

0°C = 32°F = 273.15 K. Fahrenheit = Celsius × 9/5 + 32; Kelvin = Celsius + 273.15.

Limits and things to check

These formulas convert temperatures, not temperature differences. A 10°C increase is an 18°F increase, rather than 50°F. Values below 0 K are rejected.

Why is Kelvin written without a degree symbol?

Kelvin is expressed as K. Celsius and Fahrenheit are conventionally written °C and °F.
